Message from the Chair Madison Howe

Hello, and welcome to the Academic Senate at UAMS! I am honored to serve as the Chair of the Communications Committee. In this role, I am committed to fostering clear, engaging, and transparent communication across our campus community.

The Academic Senate plays an important role in amplifying faculty voices, sharing ideas, and promoting collaboration across all colleges at UAMS. Through our committee’s work, we aim to strengthen connections, highlight important initiatives, and ensure that faculty and staff stay informed and engaged in the shared governance process.

I look forward to working alongside my colleagues on the Senate and across the university to support our collective mission of excellence in education, research, clinical care, and service.
